Pain Management Clinic

Our approach to Pain Management Treatment is to create a team treatment plan combining the knowledge and skills of several healthcare professionals that work together to help manage different types of pain, including acute pain, chronic pain and cancer related pain. The goal of the team approach is to help our patients to take control of their pain and giving the patient a better quality of life.

During your initial exam you may be asked about the history and location of your pain, any previous medications and pain treatments that you may have tried, how well you cope with your pain and any factors that may be affecting your pain. We start with a thorough examination focusing on the head, neck and spine, checking your muscle strength, sensation, balance and reflexes. A diagnosis will then be determined and a personally tailored treatment plan created.

Patients have access to a full range of in-office and onsite specialists available including an Occupational therapist, a Psychologist, an Acupuncturist, Physical Therapy, a dedicated Workman’s Compensation authorization specialist and Support Groups. When necessary, offsite referrals can be made for a neurosurgeon, orthopedic surgeon, interventional pain management physician, Home Health and/or RN case managers and social workers.
